Birth of human being

Q.3. Is the Birth of a human being pregnancy -destined or is it simply a chance factor?

Ans. It is mainly a chance factor that one is born. However it can also be said that innumerable predestined factor give birth to an individual. If any of our fore parents of millions of generation have been changed or have missed the sexual behavior contact at those particular times, we would not have been born it cannot be said for certainty whether billions and billions of circumstances were predestined or working on chances. If it is statistically seen, the chances of birth of a particular human being are so remote that one cannot even imagine. Even in a single generation the chance factors for birth of a human being are very less, not to talk of chances of environmental factors, evolutionary phases of human life development and innumerable generations of human life. First and for most is the luck factor in the marriage of one’s parents. The human female has about one million follicles at birth, ten thousand of which remain in both the ovaries at puberty. A maximum of four hundred ova are shed from the ovaries at the rate of one ovum per menstrual cycle during the non-pregnancy period of fertility extending over thirty years. of these, only about fifteen stand a chance of getting fertilized in a sexually active female on an average. This optimum capacity of a woman to produce about fifteen children in her active sexual life is further reduced considering the chance of abortion, maternal death and foetal death particularly at the time of parturition, death of the child and family planning limitation pressure of the society.

The human male produce a large number of sperms in his life time. The sexual capacity of males vary widely. The male begin to produce sperm at fifteen years of age and continues to do so till about 80 years age. The sexuality active age of male varies from 45-65 years as compared to 30-35 years of female. If one were to consider an average sexual life in a human male to be of the order of daily sexual intercourse for over a month after love marriage, alternate day sexual intercourse for one year, thrice a week for ten years, twice a week for next twenty years, once a week for another ten years and occasional intercourse for the remaining ten years of more, it all adds up to an astounding four thousand times in his lifetime. Of course, this depends much on the health and virility of the man, as well as the biological, psychological and social factors of both the man and his female partner.

Each spermatic ejaculation contains about three milliliters of semen. Each milliliter of spermatic fluid contains about one hundred million or more sperms. Thus each ejaculation contain about three hundred million sperms. Thus in a lifetime, human sex  males produces about one thou sand and two hundred billion sperms. Also! How many sperms are actually able to fertilize the ova? We have seen that a healthy couple can normally produce a maximum of fifteen children on an average if they live together for the whole of life. It is more or less a luck factor that decides which fifteen ova out of one million follicles and fifteen sperms out of twelve hundred billion sperms get the opportunity to express themselves and come to form human life.
The factors which determine the luck of these sperms and ova are their innate strength and suitable timing of sexual act besides several other factors. The quality of sperm and ovum which materialize into new sexual life is one of the best though not necessarily the best.
Existences of an individual is just one out of billions and billions of other possibilities and alternatives. It is a miraculous luck that an individual is born by the fusion of just that particular sperm and ovum only.
